Our next group of stores is Essex County (where we have previously seen some stores)! Essex is home to the state's largest city, Newark, at the east end, along with suburbs to the north and west. We're starting at the northeast, with stores through Upper Montclair, Cedar Grove, Verona, and Fairfield, before crossing the county approximately from west to east mostly along county route 506, or Bloomfield Avenue, through West Caldwell, Caldwell, Verona, West Orange, the southern (downtown) part of Montclair, then a detour along route 280 over into downtown Orange and East Orange and straight into Newark and Irvington and finally circling back to Millburn and Livingston in the southwestern part of the county. We're jumping into Upper Montclair tomorrow over on The Market Report!

As you've probably gotten a taste of, I'm going to slowly increase the number of stores we see daily. I'm going to start sprinkling in a few days of multiple store posts, until by the end of New Jersey we'll consistently be seeing two or three stores a day. (Then, it's on to Pennsylvania -- when I'll go back down to one post a day!) This is due to one simple fact: I have photographed so &*@!(#$ing many supermarkets that I need to speed up the posting speed if I ever want to get through them all. So enjoy!

    Can't wait! Is NY planned in the coming months?

      I do indeed have some New York, but most of my NY stuff was already posted. We travel down the eastern part of NJ (Essex, Hudson, eastern Union, eastern Middlesex, eastern Monmouth, Ocean), then back up the middle (western Monmouth and Middlesex, Somerset, western Union, Morris, Sussex), then back down the west side (Hunterdon/Warren, Mercer, Camden, Burlington). We jump from greater Camden to greater Philadelphia and travel from south to north around the eastern part of PA until we get to Matamoras, then cross to Port Jervis and spend some time in Sullivan, Orange, and Rockland Counties. So the short answer is yes, but we have to get through all of NJ and PA first!
