The Niskayuna Consumers Co-Op, which does business as only Co-Op Supermarket, has been in business since 1943 but this building looks more modern than that. It's been expanded to about 13,000 square feet and unlike many coop stores seems to be a fairly standard supermarket, instead of the more common natural/specialty style store. Our contributor Lars D., who submitted these photos, reports that the relatively small store is very popular in the town of Niskayuna, in the Capital Region of New York just outside Schenectady and about 15 miles outside of Albany.
