Big Bazaar Owner: unknown Opened:  2012 Cooperative:  none Location:  660 Plainsboro Rd, Plainsboro, NJ Photographed:  February 2021 Today's second store is the Big Bazaar in the Princeton Meadows Shopping Center outside of Plainsboro, a small Southeastern Asian grocery store located just next to the former Asian Food Markets which recently moved to Plainsboro Plaza. I didn't go in, which I now regret because online interior photos are limited. I mentioned on the post for Delight Big Bazaar in Parsippany that Big Bazaar that many Indian and southeastern Asian stores are called things like Big Bazaar because Big Bazaar is a large supermarket chain in India. Speaking of Indian grocers, tomorrow we move to the southeast for a tour of an Indian supermarket down in East Windsor over on The Market Report !

Asian Food Markets Owner: Jon Chen Opened:  2020 Cooperative:  none Location:  10 Schalks Crossing Rd, Plainsboro, NJ Photographed:  February 2021 Welcome back to Plainsboro Plaza, where we're touring the Asian Food Markets in a former SuperFresh in a former SuperFresh in a former Caldor. Yeah, that's right -- this was a SuperFresh owned by A&P from the early 2000s to 2013 (replacing an 80s store in the same mall), then a Key Food-affiliated SuperFresh owned by Kevin Kim in 2018 (February to October only), then the replacement for the older Asian Food Markets location across town which opened in August 2020. Everything in the Asian Food Market today is brand-new, even these carts which I assume are likely refurbished but look very similar to the Food Bazaar carts.
